EVOCIP (Ciprofloxacin 0.3%) is a sterile ophthalmic ointment. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial active against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative ocular pathogens. The bactericidal activity of Ciprofloxacin results from interference with the enzyme DNA gyrase which is needed for the synthesis of bacterial DNA.

EVOCIP Ophthalmic Ointment is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by the susceptible strains of micro-organisms in the conditions listed below:

Corneal Ulcers - Solution only: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens*, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus (Viridans Group)*.

Conjunctivitis - Solution & Ointment: Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus (Viridans Group).

Ophthalmic Ointment: Apply a ½ inch ribbon into the conjunctival sac(s) three times a day on the first two days, then apply a ½ inch ribbon two times a day for the next five days.

EVOCIP eye ointment is available as a sterile ointment in 3.5gram in a plastic aluminum tube.

• Use as directed by the physician.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Protect from light, heat & moisture.
• Store in cool & dry place at 15°C to 30°C.
• Do not freeze.
• Stop using the tube 4 weeks after first opening, to prevent infections.
